With a local tour guide to visit the iconic temples and city of Bangkok.

With a local tour guide, take a Temple and City Private Tour in Bangkok, Thailand, with us, Siamchon Holiday Ltd., Part. What will you see and experience?

In General

Temple and City Private Tour with Us, Siamchon Holiday Ltd., Part: Typically, this tour includes an English-speaking local licensed tour guide (with a local tour guide, you cannot travel with a local who is without a licensed tour guide), private air conditioning transportation, and a professional driver, as well as compulsory travel insurance (for every travel company to provide to their tourists), even if you have your own insurance.

Timing

As a private tour, timing means the time when you can start your tour and the pick-up time from your hotel’s lobby by our English-speaking local tour guide. For this tour, typically it lasts about 4-5 hours, and the starting time could be from 8:00 a.m. until 13:00 p.m. Depending on your requirements, just let us know by writing it down on a notice box when you book.

The tour route.

From the hotel where you are picked up, the local tour guide will brief you and recommend all related information concerning the tour, including general dos and don’ts when you are traveling in Thailand. Moreover, any of your questions could be answered, or even if you want to buy some specific souvenir for you or your beloved one, she or he could be your excellent assistant.

On the way to the first temple (the tour route). The local guide will show or let you know the places that are passing by, such as the main shopping area, walking street, popular hang-out place for tourists, or specific community for international expatriates like a Japanese community, a Korean community, or an Indian community, and so on.

The Golden Buddha Image

The Golden Buddha

The first temple is Wat Trimitr, or the Golden Buddha Temple. This is the first stop, unless you want to skip. Wat Trimitr, or the golden Buddha temple, housed the Guinness Book record for the biggest golden sitting Buddha in the world. The statue was built by the King of Sukhothai in the 13th century. It weighs about 5.5 tons and is about 4 meters tall.

More details in terms of history, culture, architecture, hand-on events, or traditions will be told and described by your local guide, or you can ask him or her any questions you need. After finishing, the car will pass by the Yao-wa-ratch, the main road of China Town (the Chinese community), the first business center in Thailand.

Next up, a stop at Flower Market, Pak-Khlong-Ta-Lad

The Bangkok Flower Market is the biggest fresh flower market in Bangkok. The market is named “Pak-Khlong Ta-Lad,” which means “the market at the mount of the canal.” It is open around the clock every day.

Every night, late at night and early in the morning, there are varieties of fresh flowers delivered from all parts of Thailand here. The flower market looks like only flowers, but in fact it is full of things from the local area, such as vegetables, cooking ingredients, and seasonal Thai fruits. Then, every second here always looks busy.

Tuk-Tuk Ride

After that, take a Tuk-Tuk to Wat Pho, or the Reclining Buddha Temple, the breathtaking complex, home of the 15-meter-high, 46-meter-long Reclining Buddha, and birthplace of the traditional Thai massage.

Next, the last temple. Anyway, before that, in case you want to have a relaxing drink or eat local food, here next to the temple are many nice local restaurants. If not, then continue to the last stop, Wat Benchamaborpit, or the Marble Temple where the ashes of our beloved King Rama V have been enshrined. It is one of the most modern works of Thai religious architecture, graceful and tranquil.

It is famous for its main building, “Ubosot or Chapel,” which was built with Italian white Carara marble and houses the replica of the most beautiful Buddha in Thailand, “Phra Buddha Chinnarat.”

After finishing the last temple, the local guide will drop you off at your hotel, unless you prefer to be dropped off at other places, such as a shopping center or a souvenir shop. That’s your choice.
